NH slots to raise $180 million each year

In New Hampshire, a newspaper is reporting that the state could stand to raise $180 million a year or more from allowing slot machines to be played at 4 different racetracks and 3 different hotel resorts in the state. Online slots players will be happy to know that they may have even more choices to play slots.

This estimation even takes into consideration that neighboring Massachusetts might legalize betting at 2 locations. A consultant for the gaming industry feels that even though Massachusetts could have 2 slots casinos there would be a big enough market for all.  

Unfortunately, people in the industry are still calculating the pros and cons than the November 1 deadline they face under state law. They still intend to ask House Speaker Douglas Scamman, for an extension on the deadline.

As it stands, slot gambling legislation has already faced large roadblocks. One example is when the Senate rejected it by a 3-1 margin last spring.
