IGT and the GSA will work together to blend the GSA's Best of Breed and IGT's SuperSAS computer practice. This is being done in order to lead to an open industry benchmark that could create new product development from a variety of different slots manufacturers.

Just over two years ago, IGT broke ties with the GSA, leaving many slots manufacturers with the alternative of developing systems compatible with IGT's computer practice or the open system encouraged by the GSA.

GSA is reportedly excited to welcome IGT back into its group and will focus on a rapid creation of the merged practices over the next few months.

The 60-member association that has been around for seven years,  also stated that it has updated and simplified its intellectual property policy to bring it in line with other international groung-breaking organizations.
